Cupro is a regenerated cellulose fibers, put natural fibers materials (such as cotton linter) dissolves in the cupric hydroxide in concentrated ammonia or alkaline copper salt solution, make it into spinning liquid, cupro chemicals decompose regenerated cellulose in coagulating bath, then after processing to obtain Cupro.
Cupro fibers are circular, no skin-core structure, fiber can withstand high tensile, make fine monofilament, so the fabric is soft, with soft gloss, similar to silk. The Hygroscopicity of cupro is similar to viscose fiber, its official regain is 11%, regain could reach 12%--13% under normal atmospheric conditions, in the same dyeing condition, Cupro fiber's dye affinities is better than viscose fiber, the color is darker. Dry strength of cupro is similar to viscose fibers, but wet-strength is higher than viscose fibers, wear resistance is better than viscose fibers. Because of soft, gloss, it is usually used for make high grade silk or knitted fabrics. Their performance is better, good Hygroscopicity, great drape and performance is similar to silk, suitable for environmentally-friendly dress trend.
The characteristics of Cupro are below:
